My name is Filomina. I live in Nator Village, Ghana. I am a widow with 5 children, who are all in school thanks to the profits from my businesses.
With my £70 micro-loan from WildHearts I was able to start another business selling cereals, ground nuts and peanuts. I buy in bulk, store the products at home and then re-sell them in our nearest big town called Wa.

Covering my children’s school fees used to be a challenge, so did buying books, school uniforms and shoes. It was difficult to keep going. Now I’m able to cover everything and my children help me out with the businesses during school holidays.
I hope they grow up to be important people who can look after me when I’m old!
